I was really craving deviled ham like I used to eat as a kid, but the only recipe I could find that I had all the ingredients for didn't turn out exactly like I remembered. I put this together and it turned out great! I served it on lightly toasted multigrain bread with cheddar cheese and lettuce (I'd leave off the cheese next time, it just wasn't necessary). I didn't measure anything so these are estimates. Ingredients:
3 ounces ham |
2 tablespoons mayonnaise |
1 teaspoon yellow mustard |
2 tablespoons onions, coarsely chopped |
2 tablespoons sweet pickle relish |
1/2 teaspoon sweet pickle juice |
1/4 teaspoon worcestershire sauce |
1/8 teaspoon black pepper |
Directions:
1. Put all ingredients in a blender or food processor. I used my magic bullet. 2. Blend until combined. 3. Serve as a sandwich or with crackers. |
