My Dads Italian Summer Tomato Salad |

A simplest salad my Dad taught me, which we ate on hot summer nights. It has very few ingredients ICE being one of the main components. Ingredients:
1 pound of vine ripe tomatoes |
enough red wine vinegar or balsamic vinegar to so that when the juice from the tomatoes and melted ice you still have a tart flavor. |
crusty bread. |
salt and pepper to taste |
3 tablespoons of olive oil |
a few parsley leaves for garnish |
1/1/2 cups of ice |
Directions:
1. Add all of the ingredients into a large bowl and toss let stand while slicing the bread. 2. Toss again, taste for seasoning, and correct at this time. 3. Enjoy! |
