i really hate raw eggs, be it in mousses or anything else!! ewwww !!So here the probem is solved for all those with similar hatred!! This mousse has cooked eggs,it is rich and creamy!! I make this quite often,its an all time fav. Read more .!:) Ingredients:
milk-3 cups |
fresh heavy cream-1/2 cup |
eggs-2 |
gelatine-2tbsp |
cocoa powder-4tbsp |
sugar-2 cups(or acc. to taste) |
almond essence-few drops |
silvers of almonds- garnish |
Directions:
1. Mix gelatine in 1/2 cup cold water,set aside 2. Beat eggs,till light and frothy. 3. Heat milk in a saucepan,add eggs,keep stirring on low flame. 4. Make a paste with cocoa and a lillte water in a cup,add this to the milk,keep stirring. 5. Add the cream and sugar. 6. When the back of the spoon gets coated,then the custard gets ready. 7. Add a few drops of almond essence. 8. Heat up the gelatine on low fire until completely melted and clear. 9. Add gelatine to cold custard. 10. cool completely,pour into wet mould and refrigerate. 11. Serve chilled.Garnish with silvers of almonds. |
