My version of Beer Nuts . I hope you enjoy these yummy nuts. Ingredients:
4 1/2 cups peanuts, raw and shelled |
2 cups sugar |
1/2 teaspoon salt, plus some more |
1 cup water |
Directions:
1. Bring peanuts, sugar, salt and water to a boil. 2. Continue to boil until all liquid is absorbed. (aprox. 25-30 min). 3. Preheat oven to 300 degrees. 4. Spread nuts on lightly greased jelly roll pan and sprinkle with salt to your liking and. 5. bake 20 minutes. 6. Remove from oven and gently stir, sprinkle with more salt to your liking and bake 20 minutes more. 7. Cool completely and store in an airtight container. |
