These remind me of what my Mom use to make, but she was a 'dumper' and I could never emulate her beans. My sister and I now use this recipe faithfully. No green peppers or ground beef here, just good old fashioned sweet baked beans. Ingredients:
30 ounces baked beans |
1/2 cup brown sugar |
1/2 cup onion |
1/2 cup ketchup |
1 tablespoon mustard |
1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce |
1 teaspoon vinegar |
bacon |
Directions:
1. Mix all ingredients except bacon and put in a casserole dish. 2. Bake at 350 for 1 hour. 3. Top with cooked bacon before of after cooked, it's up to you. |
