My 3 Year Old Eats These Green Beans |

I've tried several different ways to get my son to eat green beans, and I finally hit the right thing! Ingredients:
16oz fresh or frozen green beans (not french-cut) |
salt to taste |
about 1/2 cup good ham, or to taste |
1-2 t real butter (no substitutes) |
Directions:
1. Boil green beans in unsalted water to desired tenderness. (Not dark green.) 2. Meanwhile, cube ham rather small and fry lightly in butter. (It tastes like nothing special if you don't use real butter!) 3. Drain beans when done; add salt; add ham and drippings. 4. Voila! My son eats lots of beans now! |
