Portuguese style beans.A very meaty and satisfying bean dish, best served with a tossed green salad and chewy bread. Ingredients:
1 lb kidney bean |
4 garlic cloves, minced |
1 large onion, chopped |
1 lb linguica sausage, skinned and chopped |
1 lb ground beef |
1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste |
1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce |
14 1/2 ounces diced tomatoes |
1 cup red wine |
1 tablespoon ground cumin |
1 tablespoon chili powder |
1/2 teaspoon cayenne (optional) |
Directions:
1. Cook beans, garlic and onions according to package directions, salt to taste. Brown linguica and ground beef in a large frying pan.
