My sisters Mother in Law (Thanks Sal!) gave us this recipe and it has become a staple when we serve ham. Ingredients:
1 egg, beaten |
1/2 cup sugar |
2 tablespoons dry mustard |
1 tablespoon flour |
1/2 cup apple cider vinegar |
1/2 pint heavy cream |
Directions:
1. In a double boiler (I have also just added all ingredients into a small saucepan) mix egg, sugar, dry mustard and flour. Gradually add vinegar and cream stirring constantly until it thickens. |
