Mushrooms in Sour Cream

An easy to prepare side dish that's a little different, but plenty rewarding.
Ingredients:
1/2 cup butter or 1/2 cup margarine
2 lbs mushrooms, sliced
1/2 cup green onion, minced
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1/2 cup sour cream
Directions:
1. Melt butter to a 12 in skillet over medium-high heat. Add mushrooms, green onions, salt and pepper. Cook, stirring frequently, until mushrooms are tender, about 10 minutes.
2. Stir in sour cream; heat through (do not boil). Spoon mushroom mixture into medium bowl. Serve warm or refrigerate to serve cold later.
