I cut this out of a magazine; anything with seafood and mushrooms is worth trying for me!! Ingredients:
1 lb medium button mushroom, brushed clean |
1 (6 ounce) can crabmeat, well-drained and flaked |
3 tablespoons heavy whipping cream |
2 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese |
1/2 teaspoon paprika (to taste) |
1/2 teaspoon worcestershire sauce (to taste) |
salt |
1 1/2 tablespoons butter |
1/4 cup plain breadcrumbs |
1/8 teaspoon salt |
Directions:
1. Preheat broiler. 2. Remove stems from mushrooms and save for another use. 3. Combine crabmeat with cream, cheese and seasonings. 4. Fill caps with mixture, mounding just slightly 5. If mushrooms do not sit flat, slice a small piece off the bottom. 6. Make buttered breadcrumbs by melting butter in a small saute pan 7. Add breadcrumbs and salt and saute until golden, 2-3 minutes stirring regularly. 8. Sprinkle crumbs over top of mushrooms and press gently. 9. Transfer mushrooms to a small baking sheet with sides, then set under broiler 3-5 minutes or until mushrooms are heated through and crumbs are browned. 10. Serve immediately. |
