It looks like you really went to a lot of work but really didn't Ingredients:
4 cups water |
1 cup wild rice |
1 teaspoon margarine |
1/2 cup brown rice |
8 slices bacon, diced |
2 cups sliced mushrooms |
1 onion, chopped |
1 green pepper, chopped |
1 red pepper, chopped |
1 stalk celery, sliced |
1 can beef broth |
2 teaspoons cornstarch |
1/4 cup cold water |
Directions:
1. Bring water to a boil,add wild rice,marge. 2. Reduce heat, cook 40 min. 3. Stir in brown rice coo 25-30 min longer or until tender. 4. Cook bacon till crisp, remove, saute mushrooms, onions peppers& celery till tender. 5. Stir in broth. 6. Boil. 7. Combine cornstarch& water together then stir it in mushroom mixture until it thickens. 8. add bacon mix all together put lid on. 9. heat on low till all is hot, you may sprinkle some grated cheese if desired. |
