I'm still playing with this recipe, but it did earn honorable mention at a fair!!! I'm practicing it with fresh mushrooms now, but this way is good and easy. Ingredients:
2 cups mayonnaise |
10 ounces shredded cheddar cheese |
16 ounces canned mushroom stems and pieces |
2/3 cup grated parmesan cheese |
1 package dry italian salad dressing mix |
paprika |
rye bread and/or crackers of choice to serve |
Directions:
1. In a medium bowl, mix well the mayonnaise, cheeses, mushrooms and salad dressing mix. 2. Put into a shallow 1-1/2 quart baking dish. 3. Sprinkle with paprika. 4. Bake at 350° for 35 minutes, until bubbly around the edges. 5. Serve warm with rye bread and/or crackers. |
