This is a wonderful soup receipe that I found in an old Harrowsmith cookbook. Easy to make and delicious to eat!!! Ingredients:
1/4 lb butter |
1/4 cup onion, chopped |
1/2 lb sliced mushrooms |
1/4 cup flour |
1 cup chicken broth |
3 cups milk |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
1/4 teaspoon pepper |
1/4 teaspoon lemon juice |
Directions:
1. Brown chopped onions in butter. Add sliced mushrooms. 2. Cook until tender. 3. Blend in flour, then gradually add chicken stock and milk. Heat to boiling until mixture thickens. 4. All salt, pepper and lemon juice. Simmer 10 minutes. |
