This is an awesome sauce, really good and I don't usually like blue cheese. Got this from my sister-in-law when she fixed it to go over roasted tenderloin on Christmas. Ingredients:
2 pints fresh mushrooms, sliced |
1 bunch green onion, chopped (don't use all of green tops) |
1/4 cup butter |
2 teaspoons worcestershire sauce |
1 cup blue cheese, fresh crumbled |
salt and pepper |
Directions:
1. Melt butter in pan; stir in mushrooms and onions and cook until tender. Stir in Worcestershire and Blue cheese. Add a little water if mushrooms don't release enough for saucey consistency. Salt and pepper to taste. Serve over roasted beef tenderloin, steaks, etc. |
