I got this recipe in a recipe swap we did at work. Im not a fan of aspargus but this is really good! I made it with honey ham and it turned out a little to sweet for my taste, but if you mixed it half honey half regular ham I think it would be just right!
Ingredients:
1/4 cup butter
8 stalks asparagus (fresh)
1/4 cup onion, chopped (i like to use a little more like 1/2 an onion)
1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
11 ounces cream of mushroom soup (1 can)
16 ounces penne pasta (prepared)
1 lb ham, cubed (i like to get thickly sliced ham from the deli)
Directions:
1. Over medium heat melt butter in large skillet.
2. Sautee onion and aspargus until softened.
3. Add cooked ham cubed, whipping cream and cream of mushroom.
4. Coat pasta and let stand one minute, serve.
