Ingredients:
1/2 cup sliced fresh mushrooms |
2 tablespoons butter or margarine |
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour |
1 cup beef broth |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
1/8 teaspoon pepper |
dash of worcestershire sauce |
dash of ground nutmeg |
Directions:
1. Sauté mushrooms in butter in a small saucepan over low heat 5 minutes. Add flour, stirring until mushrooms are well coated. Cook 1 minute, stirring constantly. Gradually add beef broth; cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thickened and bubbly. Stir in remaining ingredients. Serve with hamburgers, meat loaf, or steaks. |
