From Tennessee Magazine. Ingredients:
2 tablespoons pan drippings |
1 cup sliced mushrooms |
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour |
1 cup vegetable broth or 1 cup beef broth |
1/2 teaspoon worcestershire sauce |
salt |
fresh ground black pepper |
Directions:
1. In a heavy skillet over medium-high heat, allow pan drippings to heat. 2. Stir in mushrooms and allow to cook for 2 to 4 minutes. 3. Add flour and continue stirring until mixture is brown. 4. Add stock and Worcestershire sauce, stirring until well blended. 5. Reduce heat to simmer and cook 5 minutes. 6. Season with salt and pepper and serve warm. |
