Ingredients:
1/2 cup butter or margarine, divided |
3 (8-ounce) packages sliced mushrooms |
1 1/2 cups herb-seasoned stuffing mix |
2 cups (8 ounces) shredded sharp cheddar cheese, divided |
1/2 cup half-and-half |
Directions:
1. Melt 1/4 cup butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat; add mushrooms, and cook, stirring constantly, until tender. Stir in stuffing mix. 2. Spoon half of mushroom mixture into an 8-inch square baking dish; sprinkle with half of cheese. Repeat layers; dot with remaining butter. Pour half-and-half over casserole. 3. Bake at 325° for 30 minutes. |
