Mushroom Cream Summer Squash

This is a recipe I obtained from a bunko friend last month. She served this alongside grilled chicken and a garden salad and it was amazingly good. Enjoy
Ingredients:
2 tablespoons butter
1/2 pound summer squash thinly sliced
1/4 pound mushrooms sliced
1/4 cup heavy cream
1 tablespoon dry white wine
1/4 teaspoon fresh nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1/8 cup fresh basil strips
Directions:
1. Melt butter in skillet then add squash and cook 1 minute.
2. Add mushrooms and cook until tender.
3. Add cream and nutmeg then simmer 5 minutes.
4. Stir in basil and simmer briefly until just wilted.
5. Season with salt and pepper then serve immediately.
