Another tasty mushroom recipe that will serve 6 as a side dish. It is very easy. Ingredients:
4 slices bread |
butter |
2 lbs fresh mushrooms |
2 cups light cream |
fresh ground pepper |
1 tablespoon lemon juice |
3 tablespoons butter |
Directions:
1. Dry bread at 200°F. 2. Butter bread when warm, & break into small pieces. 3. Chop mushroom STEMS & slice CAPS. 4. Layer mushrooms & bread in casserole. 5. Sprinkle with lemon juice & pepper. 6. Add cream until dish is 2/3 full. 7. Dot with butter. 8. Bake at 350F for 30-45 minutes or until most liquid is absorbed. |
