Ingredients:
1 loaf italian bread |
1/2 cup butter, softened |
1 pound sliced, fresh mushrooms |
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese |
6 green onions, chopped |
3 cloves garlic, minced |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 400 2. Slice bread in half horizontally and scoop out most of the bread to form a shell 3. Save bread for some other use, like fresh breadcrumbs 4. Saute the mushrooms in a small amount of olive oil until slightly softened 5. Mix butter, mushrooms, cheese, green onions and garlic 6. Spread the mixture on both shells of bread 7. Place bread on baking sheet 8. Bake until cheese has melted about 10 to 15 minutes 9. Cut into wedges and serve |
