An easy way to make grape juice either to drink or with which to make some darn tasty grape jelly! Ingredients:
2 lbs muscadine grapes |
1/4 cup sugar |
Directions:
1. Wash and stem grapes and fill sterilized/hot canning jars 3/4ths full of grapes. 2. Add 1 T sugar to each pint jar OR 2 T sugar to a quart jar. 3. Fill each jar with boiling water. 4. Add lids and rings; hand tighten. 5. Process in hot water bath for 10-15 minutes. 6. Remove and cool on wire rack. 7. Store jars for 2-3 weeks. 8. Strain juice and grapes through cheesecloth-lined colander into bowl. 9. Chill or proceed with jelly making. |
