My mother used to make this pickle. It is from Hyderabad, India. Ingredients:
1 onion, chopped finely |
2 garlic cloves, crushed |
5 -6 big dried red chilies (with seeds) |
3 teaspoons tamarind pulp |
1/8-1/4 cup sesame seeds (aka thili ) |
1/4 cup water |
Directions:
1. Make a frying pan very hot; do not add oil. 2. Turn down heat to medium. 3. Add sesame seeds until they are a golden brown. 4. In a blender, put the water, sesame seeds and rest of ingredients and mix till well- blended. |
