For a delicious breakfast treat, whip up your family a batch of Multigrain Buttermilk Pancakes. These pancakes provide the perfect use for leftover buttermilk. Ingredients:
3/4 cup oat bran |
1/2 cup whole-wheat flour |
2 teaspoons baking powder |
1/2 teaspoon baking soda |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1 cup buttermilk |
1 large egg |
1 tablespoon vegetable oil |
Directions:
1. Mix oat bran, whole-wheat flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt in a bowl. Mix buttermilk, egg and vegetable oil in another bowl; fold into flour mixture. Drop batter by 1/4 cupfuls on a hot griddle; cook for 2 to 3 minutes. Flip and cook 1 minute longer. |
