Another great way to use pomegranate molasses, a sweet syrup found at ethnic or health food stores. Ingredients:
3/4 cup walnuts, toasted |
3/4 fresh bread crumbs |
3 fresh red bell peppers, roasted |
1 hot chili pepper, seeded |
1 sm onion finely chopped |
2 garlic cloves minced |
1 tbs pomegranate molasses |
1 tbs lemon juice |
1 tsp ground cumin |
salt and pepper |
2 tbs olive oil |
Directions:
1. Toast nuts by your favorite method 2. Raost peppers by your favorite method, remove membranes and seeds 3. Place peppers in food processor along with walnuts and bread crumbs, chili, onions, garlic, pomegranate molassses, lemon juice and cumin and processmsmooth, 4. salt and pepper to taste 5. With machine running add olive oil and process until well combined 6. Makes 2 1/2 cups 7. Serve with pita chips, veges etc |
