Have not tried this yet, but it looks like something the kiddies would love. Make a cornmeal batter, stir in sliced hot dogs and bake in muffin tins. Very easy to do. Since I have not made these, I am guessing at how many it makes. Ingredients:
1/4 cup sugar |
1 tablespoon baking powder |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1 1/3 cups cornmeal |
1 cup flour |
2 eggs |
1 1/4 cups milk |
1/3 cup melted butter |
3/4 cup thin sliced hot dog |
Directions:
1. Im medium bowl, mix together sugar, baking powder, salt, cornmeal and flour. 2. Beat eggs, milk and melted butter together; make a well in the center and pour mixture into well. 3. Stir until moistened, then stir in hot dogs. 4. Spoon mixture into greased muffin tins 2/3 full. 5. Bake at 425° for 8 to 10 minutes or until golden brown. |
