This recipe is great for cooking with kids. I found it on a chex box years ago and adapted it to my own taste. Hope you like it!!!! Ingredients:
8 cups rice chex or 8 cups corn chex |
2/3 cup peanut butter (creamy or crunchy) |
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips |
2 cups powdered sugar |
Directions:
1. Melt chocolate chips and peanut butter in microwave safe bowl. 2. It usually takes about a minute to a minute and a half. 3. Mix together until evenly blended. 4. You can also melt the chocolate and peanut butter on the stove using low heat and constantly stirring. 5. In a large bowl combine cereal and chocolate mixture. 6. Lightly stir using a spatula or flexible spoon. 7. Make sure cereal is evenly coated. 8. Next put the powdered sugar in a zipper seal bag and add the coated cereal. 9. Shake it around until coated well. 10. Then spread the cereal out on a sheet of wax paper and allow to cool. 11. Store in an airtight container and enjoy! |
