This recipe belongs to Mrs. Saralu C. Jenkins, the home ec teacher at Clarkston H. , in Clarkston, Georgia. I found this recipe in a 1966 cookbook entitled: Our Favorite Meats: Favorites From Home Economics Teachers . Ingredients:
1 lb ham steak, 1 inch thick |
1/4 cup crunchy peanut butter |
1/4 cup packed brown sugar |
1/2 teaspoon dry mustard |
1 tablespoon vinegar |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 375F. 2. Place ham steak in a shallow baking dish or pan, then spread the peanut butter evenly over the meat. 3. Mix remaining 3 ingredients together until well blended, then spread over peanut butter. 4. Bake in preheated oven for 25 minutes. |
