Mrs. Fields is a chain of cookie stores which was started in the Utah area. I don't know if this is really her recipe, but it's sure a good imitation. This really makes a lot, so when I make them, I freeze several after them have been baked for later use. Ingredients:
1/2 lb butter (use real butter) |
1 cup white sugar |
1 cup brown sugar |
2 eggs |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
1 teaspoon baking powder |
1 teaspoon baking soda |
2 cups flour |
2 1/2 cups quick-cooking oatmeal |
0.5 (16 ounce) bag chocolate chips |
1 1/2 cups chopped nuts |
Directions:
1. Cream butter, sugar and eggs. 2. Gradually add remaining ingredients and mix well. 3. Shape into good size balls and place 2 apart on ungreased cookie sheet. 4. Press slightly. 5. Bake at 400°F for 6 minutes only-no longer. 6. Do not remove from pan until cool. |
