I had this at the Hope Lodge. Everyone loved it. It's the best Chinese cabbage salad I have ever had. The lady that made it is a great cook and a very smart cookie. Glad you were with us Joyce. Ingredients:
1 head napa cabbage |
5 chopped green onions |
1/2 chopped green pepper |
2 ounces ramen noodles |
1 cup sunflower seeds |
1 tablespoon butter |
1/2 cup chopped cashews |
1 jicama |
1/2 cup mandarin orange |
1 cup oil |
1/2 cup sugar |
1/2 cup cider vinegar |
1 tablespoon soy sauce |
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder |
Directions:
1. Cut and chop all vegetables. 2. Peel jicama before chopping into small cubes. 3. Brown sunflower seeds before adding in 1 tablespoon butter. 4. Break up ramen small. 5. Mix in large bowl. 6. Mix the dressing; pour over the salad and toss. 7. Not as good next day-noodles get soggy. |
