This recipe is from a favorite book of my daughter. ( I can't remember the name of the book tho'!) Ingredients:
1 cup oil |
1 1/4 cups honey |
3 eggs(extra large) |
2 1/2 cups whole wheat flour |
1/2 cup wheat germ |
1 tablespoon baking powder |
2 teaspoons cinnamon |
1 teaspoon nutmeg |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
2 cups grated raw carrots |
1 cup walnuts(optional) |
1 cup raisins(optional) |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F . 2. Grease & flour 10-inch tube pan 3. Cream oil, honey & eggs 4. Sift together dry ingredients 5. Add grated carrots to creamed mixture. 6. Add dry sifted mixture and mix well 7. Add walnuts and raisins 8. Bake for 1 hour or until done. 9. ****************************************************************** 10.
