Mother's Lime Green Punch |

A punch recipe that was my Mother's. It has a unique flavor due to the almond extract. This punch was served at my wedding in 1956. Ingredients:
2 cups white sugar |
1 (3 ounce) package lime flavored jell-o® mix |
4 cups boiling water |
1 (46 fluid ounce) can pineapple juice |
2 cups bottled lemon juice (such as realemon®) |
2 tablespoons almond extract |
4 cups cold water |
Directions:
1. Mix sugar and lime gelatin mix in a large bowl. 2. Stir 4 cups boiling water into gelatin mixture until sugar and gelatin have dissolved. 3. Thoroughly chill gelatin mixture in refrigerator, about 1 hour. 4. Place lime gelatin mixture into a large punch bowl; stir in pineapple juice, lemon juice, almond extract, and 4 cups cold water until thoroughly combined. |
