~Like Waffles for Supper~
Ingredients:
3/4 cup whole wheat flour
1/2 cup flour
1/2 cup cornmeal
1/3 cup rolled oats,quick-cooking kind
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoons baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 cup buttermilk
1/3 cup butter,melted
3 tablespoons maple syrup
2 fresh eggs,beaten
Directions:
1. Mix all ingredients,just until the larger lumps are gone.
2. Heat your waffle Iron,and bake until golden brown.
3. ~Serve with you choice of syrup or toppings.~
4. (I like a little applesauce,mixed with pure maple syrup, heated, pour on top, after I spread a thin layer of peanut butter on hot waffle.)
