this is a side dish great with chicken or whatever you want it to be with. very good Ingredients:
1- 2/3 cups chicken broth |
2 cups of rice long grain |
1 teaspoon salt |
1 carton ( 8 ounces ) of sour cream |
1 cup sliced water chestnuts |
2/3 cup creamy italian salad dressing |
1-1/2 jalapeno peppers, seeded and chopped |
1- 1/2 tablespoons jalapeno pepper juice |
1/2 pound of monterey jack cheese grated |
Directions:
1. cook rice in chicken broth and salt. mix sour cream, water chestnuts, salad dressing, peppers and pepper juice together.place 2. in a buttered 9x13 inch baking dish, layer the rice, sour cream mixture, and cheese. 3. bake at 400 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes or until bubbly 4. you can add more cheese if you like, i do because i like it cheesier 5. do it to your taste..its good either way |
