These cookies are fantastic - this is the original recipe I was given by my mother who made these when I was a kid. I almost always make a half batch as it is challenging to find a bowl big enough for the entire recipe! Read more ! I once had to buy a new 5 gallon bucket to mix the entire recipe up in! Ingredients:
12 eggs |
2 lb brown sugar |
4 cups sugar |
1 tbsp vanilla |
1tbsp salt |
8 tsp baking soda |
1 lb butter or margarine, softened |
3 lb peanut butter |
18 cups oatmeal |
1 lb chocolate chips |
1 lb m&m's |
Directions:
1. In very large bowl, mix together eggs, sugars, vanilla, margarine, and peanut butter 2. Add salt and baking soda, then oatmeal 3. Lastly, add the choc chips and m&m's 4. These are tough to stir - ladies, you may want to enlist your man to help! 5. Place on ungreased cookie sheets using an ice cream scoop or large tablespoon 6. Flatten out just a bit 7. Place only 6 to 8 on a sheet 8. Bake at 350 for 10 - 12 minutes |
