Monkeyboy Banana Chocolate Cake |

A moist, delicious cake-my family has been making this version for years. Ingredients:
1/4 cup butter or 1/4 cup unsalted margarine |
1 1/2 cups sugar |
2 eggs |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
1 teaspoon baking soda |
1/4 cup water |
1 cup mashed ripe banana |
1 1/2 cups flour |
1 teaspoon baking powder |
1 cup chocolate chips |
1 teaspoon flour |
Directions:
1. Beat butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla. 2. Dissolve baking soda in water and add to batter; beat well. 3. Add bananas. 4. Add dry ingredients; blend. 5. Pour chocolate chips into a separate bowl and mix with the remaining teaspoon of flour before adding to the batter (this can keep the chips from sinking to the bottom of the pan). Pour into a 9-inch square baking pan or bundt pan. 6. Bake at 350°F for 45-50 minutes. 7. Enjoy! |
