This recipe is great for football night or game night with the family. My kids and husband absolutely love it! Try combining different cheeses or using ranch instead of sour cream. You can combine chili powder and cumin together if you don't have taco seasoning packets. Ground meat can be beef, chicken, or turkey.
Ingredients:
2 lbs ground meat
2 (1 ounce) packets taco seasoning
1 onion, diced
1 bell pepper, seeded & diced
1 cup chopped olive
2 (8 ounce) bags of shredded cheese
2 medium tomatoes, diced
1 bunch romaine lettuce, chopped
1 (16 ounce) container sour cream
1 cup salsa
1 (8 ounce) container guacamole
1 (12 -15 ounce) bag tortilla chips
Directions:
1. Brown ground meat with seasoning packets, drain.
2. Spread tortilla chips thickly onto a cookie sheet.
3. Spoon browned beef evenly over tortilla chips then layer on olive, bell pepper, & chopped onion.
4. Spread cheese over top evenly.
5. Bake in oven 350 degrees till cheese is melted together.
6. Layer on tomatoes and romaine lettuce.
7. Add dollops of sour cream, salsa, and guacamole evenly over top of the nachos.
8. Cut in sections with a large metal spatula and serve immediately.
