A great pumpkin bread that tastes more like a dense cake. This is a huge hit at holidays. Ingredients:
3 1/2 cups sifted flour |
3 cups sugar |
2 teaspoons baking soda |
1 teaspoon cinnamon |
1 teaspoon nutmeg |
1 teaspoon salt |
4 eggs, beaten |
1 cup oil |
2/3 cup water |
2 cups pumpkin |
Directions:
1. Combine dry ingredients in a large bowl. 2. combine wet ingredients in a seperate bowl. 3. stir wet ingredients into the dry. 4. pour batter into 3- 9x5 inch greased loaf pans. 5. Bake in a 350 degree preheated oven 1hr or until a cake tester comes out clean. 6. cool before slicing. |
