I have also done this in the slow cooker at low for 8 hours with great success. Add potatoes and carrots for a one pot meal. Ingredients:
2 lbs beef top round steak, sliced |
2 medium onions |
1 apple, sliced |
2 garlic cloves, crushed |
1/2 teaspoon olive oil |
2 cups beef broth |
1/4 cup ketchup |
1 tablespoon mustard |
1 teaspoon salt |
1/2 teaspoon pepper |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven 350F degrees. 2. Brown steak lightly in olive oil. 3. Place in roast pan. 4. Sauté garlic apple and onions. 5. Add to meat. 6. Place remaining ingredients in sauté pan; bring to a boil. 7. Pour over meat. 8. Seal tightly with foil. 9. Bake 2 hours. |
