Mom's Southern Whole Wheat Biscuits |

These are my Moms, who made biscuits every weekend. This is the healthier version, but they still taste yummy!! Ingredients:
1 cup whole wheat flour |
2 cups self rising flour |
1/2 tablespoon baking powder |
2 tablespoons flax seed meal |
1/4 cup canola oil |
3/4 cup buttermilk |
1/2 cup milk |
Directions:
1. Combine all dry ingredients. Then mix in Buttermilk, Canola Oil and Milk. Flour your work surface, then knead. Don't over knead the biscuits won't rise as much. Cook in oven at 450 degrees for 9-12 minutes. |
