This recipe was given to me by my Mom and I think it was my Granny's too. Ingredients:
1 lb butter (not marge.) |
1 cup berry sugar |
1/2 cup rice flour |
4 cups flour |
Directions:
1. Sift flour, rice flour and sugar into a bowl. 2. Add butter. 3. Work in butter until like a short pastry. 4. Pat into pan and prick all over with a fork. 5. Place in 300F oven until lightly colored, then reduce heat to 275F and bake about an hour. 6. I always mark the cut lines before baking. 7. the size I like is 1 x2 . |
