This is a great partner for any pasta dish. It isn't much of a recipe, in fact it is rather lame, but we really like it for sopping up sauce. I came up with this when I did not have garlic to make garlic bread. Measurements are merely a guess as I just sprinkle on the spices and sort of eyeball it. Ingredients:
1 loaf italian bread |
1/4 cup butter |
1/2 teaspoon celery salt |
1/2 teaspoon onion powder |
1/4 cup parmesan cheese (optional) |
Directions:
1. Cut bread into 1/2 thick slices, spread with butter. 2. Place on baking sheet and sprinkle with spices (and Parmesan) and place under broiler until lightly toasted, about 2 minutes. |
