Delicious pumpkin bread. Good anytime of the year.
Ingredients:
2/3 cup shorteneing
2 2/3 cups sugar
4 eggs
1 (16 oz.) can pumpkin
3 1/3 cups flour
2/3 cups raisins
2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. cloves
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
2/3 cup chopped nuts
Directions:
1. Grease 2 loaf pans.
2. Mix shortening, and sugar, stir in eggs, and pumpkin.
3. Blend in flour, salt, soda, baking powder, cinnamon and cloves.
4. Stir in nuts, raisins.
5. Pour into pans; bake for 1 hour 10 minutes, or until wooden pick comes out clean.
6. Great served with Apple Butter.
