Can't have Easter without them... Ingredients:
1 bunch beet |
12 eggs |
1 garlic clove (minced) |
2 onions (sliced thin) |
2 cups white vinegar |
1 cup sugar |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1/2 teaspoon fresh cracked pepper |
1 cinnamon stick |
Directions:
1. Boil beets until tender. 2. Hard boil eggs. 3. Let both cool. 4. Peel. 5. Slice beets. 6. Place in a bowl with the eggs, garlic and onions. 7. Bring the vinegar, sugar, salt, pepper and cinnamon to a boil. 8. Pour over egg mix. 9. Let cool. Cover. Chill at least 72 hours. |
