This is my mother's recipe she used to make when I was growing up. I now make them for my family. Ingredients:
1 cup shortening |
1 cup brown sugar |
1 cup white sugar |
2 eggs |
1 1/2 cups flour |
1 teaspoon salt |
1 teaspoon baking soda |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
1 cup pecans, chopped |
3 cups oats |
Directions:
1. .Preheat oven to 350. 2. Mix the first 4 ingredients till fluffly. 3. Add the remaining ingredients with the oats last. 4. Drop spoonfuls on cookie sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes. 5. Let cool for 5 minutes then place on baking rack. |
