My mother always made this on a cold winters day. A family favorite. Great for meatloaf sandwiches!!! Ingredients:
1 1/2 lbs ground beef |
2 eggs |
1/2 cup breadcrumbs |
1 teaspoon salt |
1/4 teaspoon pepper |
1/2 cup chopped onion |
2 (8 ounce) cans tomato sauce or 1 (15 ounce) can tomato sauce |
Directions:
1. Combine beef, bread crumbs, eggs, salt, pepper, and 1/3 cup tomato sauce. 2. In shallow baking pan shape into loaf. 3. Bake at 375* for 1 hr. 4. Pour off excess fat. 5. Pour remaining sauce over loaf (indent if you wish). 6. Bake 15 minutes more. |
