Mom's Lamb Shish Kabob Marinade

Ingredients:
3/4 cup(s) chopped yellow onion
1/2 cup(s) dry sherry
1 clove(s) garlic, crushed
juice and grated rind of 1 lemon
1/4 cup(s) ketchup
3/4 cup(s) low sodium soy sauce
1 tablespoon(s) sugar
Directions:

Combine all ingredients and put into a 1 gallon ziploc bag. Add 3 lbs boneless leg of lamb cut into 1 1/2 to 2 inch cubes. Marinate for 4 - 6 hours in refrigerator. Thread on skewers and grill or broil until medium-rare.
