This is a classic that Mom started making over 50 years ago. It is still good today. It is best made with fresh Dungeness crab but any crab will do if that is not available. Ingredients:
3/4 pound crab meat |
12 ounces cream cheese |
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder |
1/4 cup mayonnaise |
1 teaspoon mustard |
1/4 cup white wine |
1 teaspoon sugar |
1/2 teaspoon onion salt |
2 dashes seasoned salt |
2 dashes dill weed |
Directions:
1. Mix all ingredients except crab in top of double boiler and heat until cheese melts and everything is blended. 2. Gently stir in crab and heat through. 3. Serve hot in a chafing dish with crackers or french bread. |
