My mother has been making this since I was a child (back when dinosaurs roamed the earth). She said us kids gave it the name goulash and she has no idea why. I brought some home from her house and my husband inhaled it, so I thought I'd post it here. Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef |
1 garlic clove, minced |
1 (10 1/2 ounce) can condensed mushroom soup, undiluted |
1 (10 1/2 ounce) can condensed tomato soup, undiluted |
1 cup water |
1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, grated |
4 cups spaghetti, cooked and drained (about 8 oz.) |
Directions:
1. Pre-heat oven to 350. 2. In large, oven-proof skillet, brown meat, then lift off to drain fat. 3. Return beef to skillet, add garlic, soups, water, and 1/2 of cheese. 4. Add cooked spaghetti and mix to combine. 5. Cover and bake for 30 minutes. 6. Uncover and add rest of cheese, then return to oven until cheese melts. |
