I know everyone uses butter for this, but we grew up using margarine and prefer the taste of it to butter. Ingredients:
1 lb powdered sugar, the whole box |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
1/4 cup 2% low-fat milk |
1 teaspoon vanilla extract |
1/2 cup margarine, softened |
1/2 cup cocoa powder |
Directions:
1. Beat all ingredients until smooth. 2. Thin with a little milk, if needed. 3. Makes enough to frost an 8 2 layer cake. |
